Two nights ago my fiancee cooked steak for us.
No big deal, right? I love a good steak once in a while. The problem is my teeth. I am a survivor of domestic violence and one of the things my abuser loved to do was kick me in the face. It cracked my teeth. Over time these cracked teeth broke. I just staight up didn't have the cash to do anything for them. When I had dental insurance I didn't have the time to get them all addressed. Ironically , the employer who gave me dental insurance never wanted to give me any time off to deal with them. This is the same employer who fired me for being rushed from the workplace via ambulance for my heart. Anyhow the teeth required to chew the steak, the incisors I think, are both gone.So i used other teeth.
The next day, yesterday, I awoke to swelling in my face. It wasn't bad swelling. One of my cheeks was larger than the other, that was all. None of my teeth hurt or even seemed aggravated.
Well, I awaoke this morning to find my face slightly disfigured by even more swelling. My mouth is contorted. My cheek is swollen so that it is beginning to infringe on my line of sight in one eye. There is soreness..but only in my face because the tissue is being stretched by the swelling! My teeth are still not giving me any pain.
So this is what I'm doing:
#1 I'm no longer ghoing to be sleeping flat. I sleep on my belly normally which means face down. I'll sleep in the computer chair or propped up.
#2
I have read some things online about Oil Pulling. I had my fiancee run out to the store to grab me some olive oil. I'm going to be swishing about a tablespoon round my mouth for about 20 minutes. Supposedly the oil causes the mucous membranes in the mouth to purge bacterium. People have done oil pulling when they have abscessed teeth so I'm going to so the same in the hopes the poisons building up in my face go down.
#3
Sleeping with a teabag in between my gum and cheek. Supposedly if there is an absecess anywhere the teabag draws the gunk out of you and into the teabag...we shall see.
#4
Garlic.Chewing a garlic clove will cause burning of the affected areas but people swear by it for dental problems and facial swelling. Can't hurt.
Now, more importantly, pray for me. Please pray. I do not have health insurance. I do not have dental insurance. I am one of the numerous people in this country who do not. even if I had insurance there is the chance that an antiobiotic would mess with my heart anyway. This is why I try to go natural more than anything having to do with lack of coverage. When you have a heart problem a lot of the options available to others are not a good idea for you.
So please pray for me, gentle readers. sorry for the semi self pitying tone in this entry. I'm very afraid of the swlling getting so bad I startt drooling and/or cannot use my right eye.

You poor thing!! I have some sort of degenerative problem with my teeth and so does my sister. So I've had most of my upper teeth pulled. I have literally only six teeth left on top! I will be praying for you that this swelling-infection goes away completely and that it doesn't infringe on your eyesight!
